The SRFC Cruzeiro U18 Boys Tier 1 team visited Saskatoon this weekend and captured gold medals after defeating the SUSC Prairie League team 3-0 in the final match Sunday afternoon. Nazeh Taha led the way over the course of the weekend, notching five goals and being awarded two man of the match medals out of only four matches. Congratulations Cruzeiro!
With our seasons now underway, and rainy April weather hitting us pretty hard, players should be checking the website before they head off to games or practices to find out if their sessions have been cancelled. To find out if your soccer game or practice has been cancelled, visit your team schedule page for an update by 4:00pm. If your time has not been cancelled by 4:00pm, it is still on!
Both the community and CMSA soccer seasons begin today, Thursday, April 26th. The Sr. Boys and Girls Saddle Ridge community teams will meet for the first time today and our CMSA season begins with our U10 Boys SRFC Ice Division C team visiting Chestermere for their first game. All players should be familiar with their practice schedules here on this site, and CMSA players should know to visit www.calgaryminorsoccer.com to check on their upcoming game schedules.
Today is also the last chance for new CMSA players to get their player ID cards before a big slate of games this weekend. Visit the CMSA website for further details on acquiring an ID card.

Calgary United FC will be playing a CMISL semi-professional match this Saturday, 7pm at the Genesis Centre. Please come out and support the best soccer players in Calgary as they face their Alberta rivals, the Edmonton Drillers. Tickets are available at the door for $5 (upper level) or $7 (lower level). Be sure to arrive early to watch the pre-game warm up match between the Tier 1 Provincial Champion U12 Boys Villians and the U12 Boys CMCA Memorial team from North East Calgary!
